A note from the author

We put this AVMovie together (a compilation of still photos and video clips) to show off London theatres as they are seen most often by theatre goers – by night.

Thanks to Ben Shafik for his lighthearted and  informative commentary and Fionn O'Lochlainn for the original music.

Watch out for the new version with current liveries and the names of the theatres as they appear.

Baxter

Andrew Lloyd Webber has been highly acclaimed for the score and music of this musical performance of the book which is a sequel to the famous Phantom. But hey it's a musical so it's bound to be a bit different from the torrid gothic Phantom beloved of 'phans' that indulge frequently in that show.

The producton is a great spectacle - a banquet of effects and lighting treats - song and dance to a very high standard helped by great songs.

The Story
The scene is set when Christine, now married with a child, is tempted to accept a nice fee for singing in Coney Island. She and her husband travel to America only to find out that the fancy owner of the venue is the phantom. He is not at all gruesome and even half handsome. His impassioned songs win her over and she heads off back to Paris to sing for him. The husband is just relieved to be out of debt. However the displaced singer in Paris is jealous and the story spins out from there.
