BAXTER'S THEATRELAND BY NIGHT
A classic viewing of all the Theatreland play houses by night. The authentic commentary, by Ben Shafik - a player himself - gives an authentic feel to the West End's theatres - and is backed by real music.
Next version will be more upbeat as, suggested, to celebrate Britannia's unbeatable heritage.
(Over 6000 viewings and all good reviews to date).

A note from the author

I took these pictures to show off London theatres as they are seen -most often - by theatre goers, at night.

Thanks to Ben Shafik for his lighthearted and informative commentary and Fionn O'Lochlainn for the original music.

Watch out for the new version with current liveries and the names of the theatres as they appear.

THE AUDIENCE

The Audience - Helen MirrenTitular figure-head? We don't think so - even though we were taught that at the posh school in 'Civics' rather a while back shortly after the coronation. When we saw the procession and felt the atmosphere we had our doubts about that even then.

Sixty years on, all twelve Prime Ministers have had a strictly private Audience with Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace once a week - the content of which has never been spoken about. Indeed speculation on the matter has not been let on either.

Helen MirrenPeter Morgan has written a new play about these important Audiences which have, undoubtedly, contributed to the strength of Her Majesty's government - featuring Dame Helen Mirren as The Queen. Casting for PMs continues.

During the Jubilee Year many references have been made to the continuity of the Monarchy while the Prime Ministers come and go.

The Audience  The Audience

From her earlier years as a young mother, from the age of 25 to being a grandmother in her 80's these private audiences encapsulate the second Elizabethan Age. Helen Mirren has played Queen Elizabeth 1st and has also played Queen Elizabeth II in other films.

Booking is currently until June 2013 so we advise booking early.
