I've never been to Covent Garden, and had a good time. I really would like to visit there again. I spend about 7 months in London last year as a student. It's a good memory in my life. I love England.

I have been to Covent Garden, I think. I am interested in information on the Doc Marten store, which I remembered as being in Covent Garden. Also there was a really neat craft fair when we were there and I wanted to know if it is ongoing or only certain days? We are bringing about 100 people to London in March and we are trying to get our itenerary together.
Thanks!!!

I used to live in London a few years ago. I had a wonderful time there and met a lot of nice people. In the evenings we used to spend some time at Covent Garden. That was one of my fave places in London and I always had a good time there.
I miss that very much.

Having seen Covent Garden for the first time in many years in July of this year, I was very impressed with the cosmopolitan atmosphere pervading the whole area which is vibrant and lively. I am returning shortly just for a shopping trip and to spend a day just messing about in the area, which is what its all about. Nice one!

I thought the Map was a particularly good idea, I wish other sites would include the same, particularly sites like yours that are likely to attract tourists, I recently spent 5 hours wandering around Florence when a map in advance would have saved all that wasted time !

I've been to Covent Garden once. I enjoyed very much and I have lots of things I want to write.
I entered lovely mechanical theatre, I ate good icecream, and I bought some souvenirs.
But it's pity that my English is very poor.... I'd like to visit Covent Garden again someday soon!

Covent Gardens is one of my favorite places in the entire world. I have been lucky enough to travel to London three times in my life (I am only 24) and all three times I have great memories that have been created by Covent Gardens. Currently I am studying Landscape Architecture; I am interested in examining why Covent Gardens is such a successful space. I like the fact that it is a mixed use area. Covent Gardens has such a special character; as a designer I would like to create such special places in the United States. There is so much life, activity, and interest found in Covent Gardens. I am planning on researching the history of the area; I cannot wait to make some discoveries.

I am planning a trip to london in the spring. I have been before but as a child. Now I am bringing my own children back to visit. Your sight helped me with good information about the area. With kids it is good to try a step ahead of what they might want to do next. Thank you.

I was visiting Covent Garden for the first time this week. The reason was that my daughter Kjersti, 15 years old, had told me about the Dr. Marten shop. She saw a pair of shoes on our summer holidays in France. A friend of her had been in London at this particular shop. In France, Narbonne, they didn't have the correct size. Nor did they hav e the same colour at home. Now she hoped her father could find them at this famous house. But, no. They were out of production. What to do ? The mobile phone is a nice thing. Phoning home, describing other colours - we manged to find a suitable pair - which at home in Norway today was a success !
What doesn't a father do for the daughters ??
OK, I will anyway visit this area another time.

Covent Garden is one of my favorite places in London. I make sure I visit every time I'm in London. I also tell friends planning trips to be sure to add Covent Garden to their agenda. It's a great place to walk and eat and see lots of interesting people. I can't wait to get back there! For now I'll visit the website and plan my next trip. The website is very informative and a great way to learn about Covent Garden. See you soon!

Looking forward to having a map of Covent Garden--as it was a favorite visiting place last time we were in London. We want to take friends there this spring. It is a pleasant place to shop and watch performers. (Do you really mean "no less" than 150 words?) It is fun to picture Eliza Dolittle selling her flowers there. Watching the merchants set up their stalls before the market opens is also interesting in the earlier hours. One of the shops we definitely want to revisit is the museum that features mechanical toys.

Haven't finished exploring your site yet, but am wondering if the transportation museum is there?

Like the idea of your site, but wish some of the spaces (like this one) weren't so small!

I've been to London recently, and am looking to live there for a month to see if I would like to attend College there. Being a city girl, and living in one of the largest cities in the world, I decided that I'd much rather live in one of the largest and most beautiful cities in Europe.

As I am looking to possibly live in London, one of my English friends told me that Covent Gardens might be a place for me. Looking around your web site, I must say that it does interest me. I was around Covent Gardens when I was in London, unbeknownst to me, and will be visiting soon. I'm hoping that a map would help me around your lovely neighborhood, if you would be so kind to do so.

I'm sorry not to be able to say more about your site, as my computer is slow, and it's taking forever for me to see what I'm typing. Anyway, thank you for any assistance in this matter.

It is a while since I have visited CG. I used to be a frequent visitor with my camera, I met some wonderful friends, including many Street Performers, too many to list but Dr Stewert and Kai will always be in my mind. If anyone remembers 'Chris the photographer' from the late 80s please get in touch via chris-marshall@earthling.net

Just writing this make me remember what a magical place CG was (hopefully still is), I'll have to pay the place a visit sometime soon. (Is the SouthSide Cafè still open, above the market?)
Bye for now - Chris....

I found the site very helpful. It gave me plenty of information about the play I want to see, together with a map showing where the theatre is located. I will have no hesitation in recommending this site to my friends. Hope to be visiting Covent Garden once my exams are over.

Cultural and social diversity teems from every facet of life in Covent Garden; from the magical street performers that entertain tourists from every country and locals alike, to the variety of speciality shops and restaurants that litter the streets. Whatever you want from London it seems possible to find it in this recluse from the concrete overpowering urban jungle that surrounds it. On the few occasions that I have had the opportunity to visit Covent Garden; instantly noticeable is the relaxed atmosphere that shrouds the area. People from all walks of life inhabit the spaces; businessmen grabbing a bite to eat at the exclusive cafes that line the squares, tourists meandering around the market and shoppers in their hunt for exclusive designer wear. The area comes to life at night; the hustle and bustle representative of the numerous opportunities offered, from opera to theatre to bars and restaurants to nightclubs. Covent garden seems to cater for every taste; which is indeed why it remains to be one of the most popular areas in London.

I just encountered your website today using an America Online link. My family will be visiting the Covent Gardens area of London next month, and we were thrilled to see your 3-D map. It is a wonderful tool for newcomers to the area. The website is fun to use and very informative! We are currently trying to find a hotel or flat in the Covent Gardens area, and it was wonderful to the layout of the area. Thanks again for the useful information.
